My brother JB turned 32 on April 6th. Soooo, in honor of his special day...The top 10 things you must know about JB:
1. He really likes to be funny. And usually he is really funny. My mom and dad love to tell about the time when they were in the kitchen and JB was walking and walked right into the wall...on purpose. He looked around, but no reaction so he did it again, and again, and again...until he got the reaction he wanted. He is an attorney at a firm in Irvine and is already working on his "funny-man" reputation. In fact, for April Fool's day this year, he and a friend set up pant legs and shoes in most of the stalls in the bathrooms on his floor. There were lines out the doors (especially in the women's bathroom) and finally he sent an email around claiming the prank. One of the partners emailed the pictures to some clients.

You can already see the JB faces at work in these pictures
2. He is a really nice guy. He was a great sport to go along with my bossiness when we were little. He would never be malicious.

3. He gets passionate about things he likes. I love this about JB. Nobody I know is as passionate about golfing and handicaps. Nobody I know is as passionate about fantasy sports teams. Nobody I know liked Ryan Seacrest...except JB and he really liked him. And don't forget how much he liked Kelly Clarkson. He makes things fun because he gets so into them.

4. JB always thinks he is right. This is a good characteristic in his chosen profession...attorney. In fact, he started giving legal advice when he was in high school and working at my dad's office for the day. A call came in and JB didn't even hesitate, he told the person on the other end just what to do. He has insisted that men are better at directions because they have iron filings in their nose. This from the guy that got lost...really lost...picking up his prom date one year ;-)

5. He is very smart. I'm sure he is a very good attorney. He has a good mind for facts and applications.

6. He is very likable. You can't really help but like him. I loved being at BYU with him. And I love that he only lives a few hours away so we get to see them at least a few times a year.
7. He used to refer to Chili's as a five-star restaurant...in all seriousness. Just another reason why JB is so likable.

8. Although I was already in the MTC by the time JB got his call, due to visa problems I was still in the MTC when he got there. It was just great to be in there together. I served in Venezuela and he served in Colombia and when it was time for me to go home all flights from Venezuela to the US were suspended. So, we were re-routed through Bogota, Colombia and stayed the night in the MTC. And JB got permission to come see me as I passed through his mission. What a great experience that was for me.

9. He is a great game player. Especially scrabble and speed sudoku.
10. He is a great dad. I love to watch JB with his kids. He is fun and enjoys each of their individual personalities. That said, I also love his relationship with Chelsee. It just seems like they are great friends and love being together.

Happy Birthday JB!! Love you!
